A new place to stay

Coming to a new school, I start my new life here with a bunch of energetic high school boys.

People are always curious about how it feels to be with young kids; however, it might not be as what I had expected. I have to say so.

There's huge difference between teaching girls and boys. I used to think to myself that teenagers are all the same, but apparently I was wrong. High school girls and boys are two peoples from two different planets.

First of all, high school girls are premature, and most of them have a very clear picture of what they are doing and what they are going to do. Besides, they are more than happy to follow or take the advice given to them. They might get upset when being blamed, but they are willing to correct their attitudes or ways of doing things. So basically a teacher wouldn't need to worry about girls too much.

As for high school boys, they are more like kids than adults. Sometimes I find myself nagging unconsciously-- because there are so many things a teacher needs to worry about! They don't care about a dirty messy classroom, and they don't care about their schoolwork, not to mention about their future. When I try to convince them into thinking more about their dreams or their goals to achieve, they look at me as I am speaking some kind of alien language!

High school boys are interested in online games and knowing more cute girls. Besides, anything related to sex will arouse their attention! And they like to speak foul language, saying it is very masculine!! How shocking it is!! Am I coming to a planet full of barbarians???

However, watching these kids helps me learn more about how a boy grows into a man. Being with teenage boys is indeed fun and exciting because you will never know what they are going to do next.

So, perhaps it is not so bad to be with these kids.
Perhaps.
